EMDR Treatment

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

What is EMDR Treatment?

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing is a form of treatment effectively treating an array of issues. This scientifically-based treatment has been proven to help with basically all forms of trauma one can experience. Whether the traumatic event happened years ago or recently, EMDR has resulted in positive outcomes. Clients report impressive healing of the heart and soul, behaviorally and cognitively. EMDR can bring relief from the stress of a past traumatic event for the client in typically one to two sessions. In my experience, the results are reportedly long lasting.

EMDR was developed by Francine Shapiro, Phd. The American Psychiatric Association recognizes EMDR as an effective treatment for relieving symptoms of chronic and acute Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Survivors of sexual abuse, rape, people who have been in combat, and those that have frustrating phobias have all been helped with EMDR.
